Lubri-Loy comparison guide

Consider Lubri-Loy 7012 for your CRC penetrant application

Review a penetrant option with aerosol and bulk dispensing choices. Send us your CRC part number, maintenance task and usage. We'll review industrial Extreme Penetrating Oil, Chain & Cable Fluid and quote the current package that fits your purchasing requirements.

Penetrating, moisture displacement and chain/cable lubrication

Lubri-Loy's catalog describes its industrial Extreme Penetrating Oil as a low-odor penetrant that displaces moisture and leaves a corrosion-inhibiting protective coating. The product family is cataloged for penetrating, chain and cable lubrication.

That makes it an option to review when your maintenance list includes those duties. Check each application against equipment requirements before consolidating products.

Comparison note: The supplied material referred to a historical 2012 interchange sheet, but its reported pairing has not been verified. Manufacturer descriptions do not establish identical films or faster penetration, longer protection or lower cost. No matched comparative test results were available for this review. Compare current exact-formula labels/SDS and your equipment requirements before substitution. This page concerns industrial 7012, not a food-contact lubricant.

Need storage protection? Treat SP-400 as a separate application.

7012 is not established as an equivalent to CRC SP-400 03282. CRC specifies a waxy, dry, transparent film for SP-400. No evidence reviewed here establishes that 7012 meets that storage-coating requirement. A maintenance penetrant is not automatically a replacement for a storage-protection coating.

If you're protecting parts during shipping, storage or outdoor exposure, send the required protection period, environment, film requirements and removal method. Those details need their own review.

Penetrant comparison FAQ

Does 7012 penetrate faster than Screwloose?

No matched side-by-side test was provided, so we do not claim a speed advantage. Select against the application requirements and current product documentation.

Can a bulk package reduce my purchasing costs?

Request a quote based on your usage and dispensing requirements. Compare delivered quantities, handling and application costs; a larger package alone does not establish savings.

Is 7012 interchangeable with Lubri-Loy 7011?

They are separate catalog numbers. If a food-contact category is required, identify it and request exact current documentation and registration verification for the proposed product.

Which aerosol size should I use for my comparison?

Use the current label on the quoted package. The catalog and live product page differ, so ask for written fill confirmation before comparing price per ounce or ordering.
